OPBSI Sister becomes the 2007 WWE Diva
October 29, 2007 - Philadelphia, PA -
Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. (OPBSI) would like to formally congratulate our very own Eve Torres, who was voted by popular demand and crowned the 2007 WWE Diva Search winner on the most recent edition of Monday Night Raw in Philadelphia.
Torres, who most recently had the honor of cheering on the Los Angeles Clippers as an LA Clippers Spirit Dancer, is a chartering member of OPBSI's Phi Chapter at the University of California.
At her final plea before announcement of her win, Eve Torres contested that she hoped "...WWE's fans see that my desire for this is sincere and I am the only contestant who can offer the entire Diva package." That entire package includes a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, athleticism and sportsmanship, and a positive and cheerful disposition.
As a WWE Diva contestant she competed for six weeks against the 8 final contestants, all formidable opponents. Winning the WWE Diva Search contest she now has the opportunity to build a strong relationship with her fans, make public appearances for the WWE, and possibly compete against other WWE wrestlers.
Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is a Latina-oriented sorority founded on March 15, 1989, at the University at Albany, State University of New York.
