October 7, 2007 - New York, NY... The National Step Team (NST) for Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated (OPBSI), the Soul Steppin' Divas, will be performing live in Central Park at the 2007 People en Español Fiesta, along with Ivy Queen, Miguelita, and Kat Deluna, singing her smash hit "Wind Up."

This will be the Soul Steppin’ Divas first performance since their win at the 2007 StepCorrect National Championship and debut in MTV True Life Special “I’m Stepper.” The NST will be performing at 1:25 p.m. on Rumsey Play Field in Central Park (E 69th Street and East Drive). There is no cost to for their performance or the rest of the event, which will take place from 12 to 10 p.m.

"This is an exciting opportunity for the Soul Steppin' Divas and we are fortunate to have been invited to participate in this great event, especially for such a well-known magazine as People en Español,” said Jessica M. Morales, NST Mistress. Since its foundation, nine years ago, the NST has established itself as national leader in stepping, focusing its performance on the Art of Stepping. After deciding to step away from the formalized competitive stepping arena in the Latino Community, the Soul Steppin’ Divas have begun to focus their efforts on entering new realms while maintaining their strong foundation. For more information about the NST’s performance, please visit PeopleFiesta.secondthought.com or contact StepTeam@OmegaPhiBeta.org. For any performance requests, please contact BOAStepTeam@OmegaPhiBeta.org.
