"Excellence without exception is the motto I plan to emulate while in college… A college degree will give me a chance to give back to my community and allow me to be a positive role model for the younger children. Thus, enabling younger children to witness a young adult in the community who is doing something with her life and give the inspiration for them to do likewise."

"Obstacles are a part of life that everyone must learn to deal with and eventually overcome. Once accomplished, the act of looking back on that obstacle makes the accomplishment all the more wonderful and satisfying. Being able to reveal gratefulness and admiration to the people who helped you along the way makes you a better person in the end."
