Brains and Brawn: Sister Featured in Fitness Magazine

In recent years several sisters in OPBSI have turned their attention to health and fitness and seen personal and professional success! From competing in body building and physique championship (NPC) events, conducting fitness classes such as Vixen Workout, sharing their stories through blogs and fitness sites, to coaching and encouraging others.

This spring you can catch one of those fit Betas, Andreina Marrero, in the pages of Muscle & Fitness HERS magazine where she models barbell workouts in an 8-page spread called “Bar None”. Ms. Marrero, a graduate of Stony Brook University who joined OPBSI in fall 2004 at our Theta Chapter, has an extensive athletic career hosting personal and group workout sessions, as a professional dancer, speaking at seminars, and as a member of the National Physique Committee. She has been a member of the OPBSI National Step/Stroll Team and has brought home several Step & Stroll Championships for the Sorority.

You can learn more about Ms. Marrero or book her for a speaking engagement by visiting her Facebook Page: Never Underestimated.

“Bar None” is in the March/April 2017 edition of Muscle & Fitness HERS Magazine – available now on newsstands and via electronic mediums.
