Soul Steppin' Divas
Stepping is a facet of the organization that exemplifies many attributes of the Omega Phi Beta Woman...
It takes dedication; our step team practices a few times a week and will practice more often if a show is scheduled. They also travel to different cities and campuses to perform throughout the year, which leaves little or no free time for the involved sister.
It takes strength; the average step team performance runs for approximately 17 minutes and usually encompasses several difficult moves and skits.
It involves creativity; our National Step Team’s performances are usually one of the highlights of these Step Shows where originality is mandatory.
It takes skill and heart, the Soul Steppin' Diva's have won just about every competition they have entered and remain the overall favorite team in exhibition shows.
Omega Phi Beta steps as a way of acknowledging our history, heritage and origins. We also step as a way to interact and network with other organizations. We step to represent Omega Phi Beta and further solidify the bonds we have with each other. But we have chosen to step, mostly, because we love it.
