Chapter History
The DePauw Colony was brought to Indiana in the Spring of 2006 by four passionate women who wanted to bring about change on their campus. They felt that the Greek system at DePauw University and the many different organizations on campus did not cater to cultivating and embracing their various cultures. Working together with the National Board of Directors of Omega Phi Beta and many other sisters around the country, the dream of having an organization for women of many distinct backgrounds which addresses issues and concerns experienced by Latinas on DePauws campus became a reality.

Colony Cause
Human Trafficking is the fastest growing form of forced labor. It produces over $19 billion a year on over 800,000 people who are trafficked annually worldwide. In the Unites States, it is the third largest national crime behind drugs and arms. The DePauw Colony believes human trafficking is a big issue that is not readily addressed and often times left in the shadows and overlooked. The Colonys' goal is to bring human trafficking to the forefront on DePauws campus. Through the viewing of films, hosting educational workshops and discussions, the DePauw Colony hopes to raise awareness on the issue of human trafficking.
