Colony History
As fate would have it, the paths of two extraordinary Beta women crossed in the summer of 2007. There had been one lone Sunflower waiting for that day for 13 years. And in the state of Florida in the city of Orlando she was alone no more. Less than five minutes away from each other they met after seven months thanks to the angel of beta introductions, Monica Miranda Smalls. Who would imagine this would be the beginning of an eternal friendship and sisterhood. These women are Founder Ileana Adorno Ramos and Eileen Miranda Paniagua chartering member of Eta Chapter. They bonded over being sorors, mom's, wives and the love of OPB. From the moment they met they knew they had to release the radiance on the state of Florida and with the undying influence of the National Board the process begun and is an ongoing endeavor they chose to take on together. With the help of the additional sunflowers that have graced this state with their radiant sunshine; Aggie Aponte, Tiffany Brutus, Veronica Feliciano, Audrey Pumariega, and Gissel Rosario (to name a few) Florida will be the same no more. . . .
