Chapter History
It was on December 15, 2002 that the dream of four women finally came true. Four women of Latino descent, who wanted to make a major difference, reached the BETA light and then they knew, it was only the beginning and they had work to do. Their line name "Badiri" which means Celestial Phenomenon describes Laura Melendez, Melissa Rivera, Angeli Martinez, and Josefina Guzman. They realized the need for change and have been illuminating their campus in many ways. St. John's University is feeling the radiance now and forever, while the Betas of this campus will never forget the hard work and determination that got them there.

They will set the foundation for many to come, while the bond of these four women will never come undone...

Through the Radiant dedication of "Badiri", who looked up to the stars to see it all too clearly, came six determined and dedicated women of diverse backgrounds. On April 18, 2004, after following the Celestial path, these six women known as "Tierra Firma" became known as the Alpha line of Beta Alpha Chapter. Always true to their beliefs and standing Firm Ground, these amazing women have proved that with focus, and determination, anything is possible.
