Alpha Zeta: New Jersey Alumnae Chapter
Est. 2007
Chapter History
In the spring of 2002 Omega Phi Beta was first introduced to New Brunswick, New Jersey. Since then OPBSI has grown in the New Jersey area where two chapters have been established.
The chartering members felt that it was important for alumnae women of OPBSI in New Jersey to have an outlet; a network of sorors who would support each other in a professional and community service oriented environment.
Therefore in 2006 these six alumnae sisters, including: Monserrat Cabral (Upsilon chapter), Elizabeth Cano (Nu chapter), Yisel Lopez (Upsilon Chapter), Jacqueline Mendez (Nu Chapter), Jacqueline Pena (Pi Chapter), and Rosanna Reyes (Upsilon Chapter) came together to charter the NJ alumnae chapter.
The chapter will work hard to continue OPBSI’s legacy of sisterhood and community outreach beyond the undergraduate level by being a support system for sisters in New Jersey while also reaching out to our communities.
